    • The first land purchase I can find for Alexander Boirun is this transaction in 1824 in Greene County. Alexander's residence is given as "Rock Island". He purchased 80 acres at $1.25 per acre. The land was located in the west half of the northeast quarter of Section 28, Township 11 North, Range 13 West.

    • Mary's Pension Declaration phrases it this way: "she was married to Benjamin J. Byrum on the 20th May Seveteen hundred and Seventy nine during which time said Benjamin J. Byrum was in the service of the United States as a soldier. That he served three years in all. That they lived on Jacob Creek in Virginia about 44 miles from Pittsburg when he was married."

      This area appears to be located in present day southwestern Pennsylvania, although in the 1770s, it was claimed by both Virginia and Pennsylvania.
